Kelowna Falcons

Three in a row

The Kelowna Falcons won their 3rd straight ball game with an efficient 4-2 win over Medford on Saturday night at Elks Stadium.

The Rogues got on the board in the 2nd inning on a lead off homerun from Nathan Etheridge, before 3 straight singles brought around another thanks to JJ Kitaoka’s RBI.

The Falcons would take a couple innings to respond, when Justin Flores hit his 2nd homerun to start the bottom half of the 4th, and Hunter Villanueva scored on a Vinny Esposito single to tie the ball game.

Kelowna jumped out in front in the 5th for good when they made it 3-2 on Ben Gamba’s RBI groundout, giving him an RBI in 7 of 8 games this season.

The Falcons added their insurance run in the 7th after Lane Lacrone went 1st to 3rd on an errant pick off throw. Kirby McGuire would hit a Sac Fly to cash him in.

Elias Bedolla picked up his 2nd win of the WCL season, going 6 strong innings giving up 2 runs on 6 hits, and picked up 3 strike outs.

Austin Kamel, Jimmy Doyle, and Andre Jackson closed the game out for the Falcons, combining to give up only 2 hits in the final 3 innings.

The Falcons will go for a series sweep on Sunday night at 6:05. It’s BINGO NIGHT at the ballpark with many prizes to be given away. Don’t miss out on all the action!
