Kelowna Falcons

Most Wins!

The 2015 Kelowna Falcons are the best in team history in the win column.

The West Coast League club won their 29th game of the season on Saturday night in Bellingham, beating the Bells 8-1 with some late inning runs.

Kelowna scored a pair in the 1st inning off two walks, and back to back RBI singles from Justin Flores and Max Carter.

Carter would have a great night, going 3-5 in the ballgame.

Bellingham responded in the 3rd off a leadoff double from Ethan Paul. A passed ball and a ground out from Lou Della Ferra brought the game within 1.

The Falcons would be stymied from the 2nd-6th inning by Bells starter Reagan Todd, being retired in order with a lone walk through 16 plate appearances.

Equally good, Brady Miller won his 6th game of the year with 6 innings on the mound, giving up 4 hits and striking out a season-high 6 batters.

Kelowna added 6 runs off the Bells bullpen, scoring 1 in the 7th off a Kyle Plantier RBI double, and a 2-run shot from Hunter Villanueva in the 8th.

Three more runs were added in the 9th as an error extended the inning for Ben Gamba to knock in 2 with an RBI double. Meylan picked up the other RBI.

Alex Webb threw 2 scoreless innings, while Spencer Applebach worked a scoreless 9th.

The Season Series is on the line Sunday afternoon at 3:05 vs the Bells. Michael Koval will be on the mound, you can tune in at www.kelownafalcons.com
