Offence Comes Alive

There was no shortage of offence on Tuesday night as the Falcons opened a series in Kitsap with a 4-1 win over the Bluejackets.

The two clubs combined for 27 hits.  Two Falcons had a multi-hit game led by Max Carter and his three hits while Bowen Ogata collected two.

The Falcons jumped out in front in the top of the second inning when Kevin Morgan tripled to bring in Carter who doubled to start the inning.   The Bluejackets however tied the game in their next at bat scoring a run off starter Tanner Knapp.

In the top of the fifth the Falcons scored three times putting the game out of reach.  Carter and Vaughn Shapen each collected an RBI.

Knapp records his first win of the summer lasting five innings, giving up the lone run and 11 Bluejacket hits.  All-Star Jared Morton pitched the bottom of the ninth and recorded the save despite allowing two hits.

The Falcons (15-19) and Bluejackets (10-24) will match-up again on Wednesday night.  O’Keefe Hall gets his first start of the summer for the Falcons.
