“Running” To Kelowna

Falcons’ manager Bryan Donohue is pleased to announce three players from the Linn Benton Community College Roadrunners will join the club this summer; welcome to pitchers Kevin Reilly and Brennen Lauffenburger along with infielder Damon Peters.

Sophomore left handed pitcher Brennen Lauffenburger who stands at 6’2 and 205 pounds can bring the heat.   Last year as a freshman for the Roadrunners he appeared in four games and didn’t allow an earned run over 23 innings.  He struck out 13 and finished 1-0.   Last summer he pitched for the Okotoks Dawgs of the Western Major Baseball League and finished 3-0.

So far this spring Lauffenburger is 3-0 in four starts with a 3.63 ERA and has fanned 10 batters in 17.1 innings.

Lefty Kevin Reilly is a freshman this spring and has appeared in four games, making two starts.  He has struck out 20 batters in 15.2 innings and is 1-0 with a 2.29 ERA.

Freshman shortstop Damon Peters has hit .262 in the first 12 games of the spring.  He has 11 hits, five doubles and 11 RBIs in 42 at bats.

All three players are expected to be in Kelowna when the season begins on June 1st at Elks Stadium with the Bellingham Bells in town.  Season tickets and dates for corporate BBQs are available now by calling the Falcons headquarters at 250-763-4100.
