T-Bird Flys East

The Kelowna Falcons are pleased to announce the signing of UBC Thunderbird infielder Cameron Sanderson for the upcoming 20th Anniversary season.

In the shorten NAIA spring season, Sanderson started 18 of the T-Birds 20 games as a freshman. He led his team with a .311 batting average collecting 19 hits in 61 at bats, had three doubles and 10 RBIs. Once getting on base he was a threat to steal swiping a team high nine bags in 11 attempts.

Sanderson is a long way from home, making the trek west from London Ontario to play with the Thunderbirds. In the classroom he is part of the well-recognized Sauder School of Business.

He will no doubt be in the Falcons line-up come opening day on June 5th at Elks Stadium.

The Falcons, like all West Coast League (WCL) teams are monitoring the spread of COVID-19 and are still planning for the season to open on schedule.

Season tickets for the upcoming 20th anniversary season are available now by calling the Falcons headquarters at 250-763-4100.
