Kelowna Falcons

Eagles Fly North

The Kelowna Falcons are preparing for the 20th Anniversary season and are proud to welcome a pair of players from Biola University in California; Jackson Collins and Andrew Beauvais.

Collins is a junior first baseman who batted in four runs and hit a homerun before the COVID-19 pandemic cancelled the remainder of the spring school season. In 2019 he was named the Conference’s Second Team first baseman hitting .339 in 121 at bats with nine homers, 34 RBIs and eight doubles. He also led his Eagles with a .628 slugging percentage. At Biola he’s majoring in Business Administration with the intention of going into finance and possibly owning his own business.

Beauvais is a freshman in 2020 and was 2-0 with a 3.38 ERA before the season abruptly ended. In all he appeared in four games and threw 10.2 innings striking out six, while walking just one. In the classroom the righty is majoring in mathematics and hopes to be a professional baseball player or an actuary.

Both players are expected to be in Kelowna and ready for opening day on June 5th at Elks Stadium.

The Falcons, like all West Coast League (WCL) teams are monitoring the spread of COVID-19 and are still planning for the season to open on schedule.

Season tickets for the upcoming 20th anniversary season are available now by calling the Falcons headquarters at 250-763-4100.
