Kelowna Falcons

A Pair of Sophomores

As the season approaches the Kelowna Falcons have added a pair of sophomore righthanded pitchers to the staff to bulk up the rotation and bullpen.

Cho Tofte from the University of Oregon hasn’t thrown this spring for the Ducks but has an impressive resume. He was the fourth ranked high school pitcher in Oregon as well as the #14 player overall in the entire state. He was a three-year letter winner but missed his senior season due to an injury. In 2021 he fanned 61 batters and finished with a 1.20 ERA in 39 innings. He has four excellent pitches including a fastball that runs 88-91mph, a change-up, slider and cutter.

Kieren Hall from the University of Evansville in Indiana appeared in 10 games out of the bullpen this spring and struck out nine batters. His fastball hits 90mph and complements it nicely with a slider and change-up. The Perth, Australia native spent the 2021 season at Three Rivers College in Missouri and collected a 1.35 ERA with 16 strikeouts. In 2013 he represented Team Australia at the Little League World Series.

Both pitchers should get plenty of opportunities to be on the bump for the Falcons this summer as the season opens on June 3rd with the FREE home opener presented by Stutters Restorations.
