Following their most recent victory on Saturday, the Kelowna Falcons are proud to announce the Player and Pitcher of the Series presented by Wildfire Marketing.
Player of the Series
Konnor Palmeira – Everett Community College, Kahului, HI
In the three games against the Nanaimo NightOwls, Konnor Palmeira, who was making his Falcons’ debut, was outstanding with the bat and the glove. At the plate he was the only Falcon to reach base in all three games of the series finishing 5-for-9 with a double, three RBIs, he scored a run and finished with 10 putouts defensively.
Pitcher of the Series
Sean Fekete – Ohlone College, Dubai, UAE
In the final game of the series and the Falcons desperately needing a win, they gave the ball to starter Sean Fekete who promptly delivered. He completely neutralized the NightOwls offence who had scored 13 runs in the first two games. Fekete threw five complete innings, allowed two-unearned runs while striking out four and scattering four hits. His performance earned him his second victory of the summer and the Falcons seventh of the campaign.
The Falcons now hit the road for six games making stops in both Wenatchee and Walla Walla. They return home for a three-game set with the Applesox starting Tuesday July 5 and tickets can be reserved now online HERE.
