Kelowna Falcons

Bells Chime

A five-run seventh inning was the Kelowna Falcons undoing on Saturday in Bellingham falling 6-2 to the division leading Bells.

Falcons’ starter Trent Merrill was outstanding in his six innings of work. He allowed an unearned run, scattered six hits, and struck out one. When he left the ballgame, the Falcons held a 2-1 lead.
The Bells offence came alive in the seventh getting to reliever Dylan Berry scoring five times taking the lead for good on the strength of four hits.

The Falcons’ offence on the other hand saw RBIs from Kam Edwards and Jeter Ybarra, both courtesy of a double to chase home a base runner. Shea Thomas, Luke Solis and Konner Palmeira accounted for the other base knocks.

Sunday the Falcons get one more shot at the Bells in an afternoon game at Joe Martin Stadium with the first pitch set for 1:05pm. They return home on Tuesday to open a three-game series with the Port Angeles Lefties at Elks Stadium. Tickets for the series can be reserved HERE or fans can get them at the gate.
