Kelowna Falcons

CJ & Cole Lead

Last week the Kelowna Falcons defeated the Edmonton Riverhawks in two of their three games at Elks Stadium and now the Falcons are proud to name the Player and Pitcher of that Series presented by Wildfire Marketing.

Pitcher of the Series
Cole Van Every – Southwest Baptist University, Kelowna, BC

In the first game of the series with the Riverhawks Van Every spun the Falcons to a 6-5 victory throwing 8.2 innings, striking out two and gave up three runs. It was his first win of the summer and a crucial one for the Falcons in the hunt for the post season.

Player of the Series
CJ Richmond – Western Illinois University, Indianapolis, IN

With his family in town from Indianapolis, Richmond propelled the Falcons to a pair of wins over the Riverhawks. In the first game of the series his two-run homerun in the eighth inning was the game winning hit in a 6-5 victory. He was a factor each time at the plate in the series reaching base four times and scored a pair of runs.

The Falcons are back at home on Tuesday to host the Port Angeles Lefties for a three-game series. Tuesday night is also Umpire Appreciation Night and will act as a fundraiser for Kid Sport. Fans can purchase tickets at the gate, or reserve them online HERE.
