Kelowna Falcons

Late Inning Win

Wednesday night the Kelowna Falcons scored three times in their last two at bats and beat the visiting Wenatchee Applesox 4-1.

With the score tied heading into the bottom of the seventh the Falcons scored the eventual winning run after an RBI single off the bat of Damian Stone. His base hit brought home Mike Montrezza who had walked to lead off the inning and stole third before Stone’s RBI.

The home side added some insurance in the eighth with a pair of runs thanks to RBI hits from Shea Thomas and Griffin Palfrey.

The pitching staff was solid on Wednesday night as starter Brock Keller lasted 5.2 innings allowing just one run and scattered eight hits. Jacob Greenan picked up the victory throwing the last three innings while striking out four.

Thursday night the Falcons wrap up the series in the rubber match with the Applesox, Hiroyuki Yamada will get the start on the bump.
