After a mid-week series in Wenatchee the Kelowna Falcons are proud to announce their Pitcher and Player of the Series presented by Wildfire Marketing.
Pitcher of the Series
Derek Beairsto – Centralia College, Centralia, WA
He got the start in Game 2 of the series on Wednesday and was solid giving his club a chance to win. He lasted six innings and fanned eight while picking up the victory. It was the lone win for the visitors in Wenatchee.
Player of the Series
Mike Montrezza – Trinity University, Los Gatos, CA
He had his best series of the summer both with the bat and in the field. The shortstop picked up four hits, had a pair of walks, stole a base, and scored five runs over the course of the series. Defensively he was solid with three assists and two put-outs.
The Falcons open a three-game series in Walla Walla starting on Friday night on Maple Syrup Night, as fans at their ballpark will receive a tasty treat when arriving. The Falcons return home on Tuesday to host the Applesox for three games, the first being Bark at the Park when fans are welcome to bring their dogs to the game. Reserve your tickets online HERE.
