Sunday Funday

Sunday was definitely a funday for the offence exploding for 12 runs on 12 hits in a 12-2 victory in Edmonton against the Riverhawks in the final game of the weekend series.

After getting shutout during both games of Saturday’s doubleheader the offence got things going early scoring seven runs in their first two at-bats. In the first inning Griffin Palfrey collected a two-hit single to score Kam Edwards and Konnor Palmeira to open the scoring. Then in the second Nico Button, Kam Edwards, CJ Richmond and Palfrey all had RBI hits to extend the lead

Cho Tofte made his first start on the mound this summer and was solid throwing 4.1 innings, allowing two hits and three walks.

In the fifth the Falcons struck five more times as Jake Steels and Jaden Parsons each knocked in two runs and Palfrey collected his fourth RBI of the game.

In all, Palfrey and Steels each had three hits, and Parsons, Steels, Richmond and Palfrey knocked in multiple runs in the blowout.
