Kelowna Falcons

Final Series Opens

It’s the beginning of the end of the season for the Kelowna Falcons on Friday night when they open a three-game series with the Yakima Pippins at Elks Stadium. This will be the final home series of the 2022 summer season.

Friday night the Falcons players will be wearing special camo jerseys as part of Military Night at the ballpark. The jerseys will be available to purchase following the game and are sponsored by Total Restoration.

The Falcons have an opportunity to play spoiler for the Pippins who are in the thick of a playoff hunt in the South Division. They have won four of their last five games including a pair over the Falcons last week. However, they are still on the outside looking in at the playoff picture trying to chase down the fourth place Bend Elks for the final playoff spot and are a game behind.

Saturday night for game 2 of this series is Umpire Appreciation Night and a major fundraiser for Kid Sport Kelowna. There will be a dunk tank, bouncy houses, a cheque presentation and plenty of fun for the whole family. Then Sunday’s season finale is Fan Appreciation Night at 6:05pm. Tickets for all three games of this series can be purchased at the front gate an hour before the opening pitch.

Friday night’s opener at Elks Stadium is scheduled for 6:35pm.
