Night Night Owls

The Kelowna Falcons used the long ball to guide them to series sweep on Thursday night beating the Nanaimo NightOwls 8-3.

Both Kyle Corso and Raphael Smeenk (pictured) homered at Elks Stadium and each drove in three runs. Overall, the offence pounded 10 more hits following the 15 they had the night before. Corso, Trey Duffield and JP Smith each had a multi-hit game while Griffin Palfrey knocked in a pair of runs.

On the mound Sam Hall recorded his first win of the summer throwing five innings of scoreless baseball and struck out eight along the way.

The Falcons (4-2) now welcome the Portland Pickles (5-1) into Elks Stadium for a three-game weekend series beginning on Friday night. The Falcons are looking for a little payback after dropping two of three last weekend in Portland.

Tickets for any of the three games this weekend can be purchased online HERE.
