The Kelowna Falcons have looked just down the road to the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds for their first player commitments of 2015.

The Falcons will welcome two pitchers and one outfielder from the Thunderbirds program, who currently have a 15-5 NAIA Conference Record.

Curtis Taylor (Port Coquitlam, BC) and Alex Webb (Surrey, BC) are both fixtures on the mound for UBC, combining for a 0.89 ERA so far this season.

Taylor, who is a graduate of the Coquitlam Reds BCPBL program, is the teams closer, and has a 1.08 ERA in 16.2 Innings, allowing only six hits while picking up four saves.

For Webb, who has started five games for the T-birds, has struck out 47 batters in 34 innings and sports a miniscule 0.79 ERA. It has been a tough luck year in the win column though, as he sits at a 3-2 record.

The third member coming from the UBC program is outfielder Tyler Enns (Winnipeg, MB). Enns (pictured) currently sports a .233 Batting Average in 14 starts, with a triple and six RBI’s.

The Falcons open up the 2015 season on Friday June 5th in Victoria against the Harbourcats. The TELUS-Comcast Home Opener will be Tuesday June 9th at Elks Stadium, where admission will be FREE!
