Kelowna Falcons

A Pair Of Aces

Two important pieces of the Falcons pitching staff will return this summer as Jake Simmons and Blake Randazzo will look to improve upon their solid seasons from a year ago.

In 13 appearances last year, Simmons (pictured) was 5-1 with a 2.91 ERA and struck out 22 batters.  He was a key cog in the starting rotation, who did show the ability to come out of the pen when called on.

The 6’2, 190 pounder will be relied upon heavily for Falcons’ manager Bryan Donohue.  He is currently attending Western Oregon University.

Randazzo was an effective starter for the Falcons a year ago, but like Simmons was used out of the bullpen when needed.

The Federal Way native finished 3-5 with a 3.12 ERA and an impressive 30 strikeouts in 12 appearances.  In six of his nine starts, Randazzo gave Manager Donohue at least seven innings, resting the bullpen.

He is currently in his sophomore season at Oklahoma Wesleyan.

Both pitchers will report back to Kelowna at the first of June as the Falcons open the new season June 2nd at Elks Stadium.

Season tickets and dates for the Group Double Play BBQ parties are available now by calling the Falcons headquarters at 250-763-4100.
