Kelowna Falcons

Four Tritons Sign

For the past number of years the Falcons have had an outstanding working relationship with Edmonds Community College and this summer is no different.

In all, four Tritons, who are coached by former Falcons’ pitching coach Scott Kelly will head north this summer. Three of the four Tritons are pitchers.

Sophmore righty Jared Gray (pictured) was 3-2 this past school season with a 3.58 ERA in nine appearances and 37.2 innings pitched.  He also struck out 28 and did collect a shutout victory.

Lefthander Matt Olstead finished his freshman season with a 1-2 record with a 4.15 ERA and struck out 15 over the course of nine appearances.

Freshman righty Connor Runnalls appeared once in a non-conference game as he continues to build on his development.  The Falcons will most likely use him out of the pen.

Infielder Jake Malone is having a solid season with a .349 average at the plate with 29 hits, 10 doubles, and a pair of homeruns along with 15 RBIs.  He has also demonstrated he can run on the bases with three steals during the spring campaign.

All four players are expected to be in Kelowna in two weeks when the club opens the season on June 2nd at home against the visiting Port Angeles Lefties presented by TELUS.  All admission to the home opener is FREE!
