Wildcats Commit

The Falcons continue to add to their 2019 roster as they are set to bring in a pair of Chico State Wildcats from the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) in the likes of infielder Tyler Grissom and infielder/pitcher Kristian Scott (pictured).

A Canyon Country, California native, Grissom comes to Kelowna for his first season with the Falcons while taking part in his Junior season at Chico State. The 5’10”, 175-pound middle infielder has 13 hits in 54 at-bats through his 20 games with the Wildcats, scoring 5 runs while adding 4 RBI’s and 2 doubles. The 20-year-old batted .343 with LA Mission College over two seasons before transferring to Chico State, helping lead his team to a 2017 Western State Conference-South title.

Scott brings a dual threat to the Falcons, playing the corner infield positions while also having the ability to take the mound. The Glendora, California native has 10 hits in 38 at-bats at Chico State while scoring 6 runs and adding 3 RBI’s in his junior season. On the bump, the 6’3”, 220-pound hurler allowed 2 runs in 4.1 innings of work with a 1-1 record in a pair of relief appearances.

The Falcons will open their 2019 season on the road against the Bellingham Bells beginning on Tuesday, June 4th before coming back to Kelowna for their home-opening series to host the newest team in the WCL, the Ridgefield Raptors for a three-game series beginning on Friday, June 7th.
