Kelowna Falcons

Sanders Times Two

The Kelowna Falcons are pleased to welcome the Sanders brothers to the Okanagan for the 20th Anniversary season.

Nathan Sanders is a red shirt junior at Middle Tennessee University who led his Blue Raiders with 65 at bats and 21 hits in 17 games this past spring season, which was cut short due to COVID 19. He also homered twice, had a pair of doubles and collected eight RBIs batting with a .323 average. He also swiped three bases and had 38 putouts defensively patrolling centerfield.

He is a transfer from Motlow State Community College in Tennessee where he finished last year hitting .315 with four homeruns and 20 RBIs.

His brother Dayton “Chewy” Sanders also joins the Falcons coming out of his sophomore season at Motlow. In their 21 games he had 63 at bats collecting 25 hits including four doubles, three homers and 24 RBIs. Before the season was cut short because of the pandemic he hit .397 leading his school.

Both Sanders brothers are expected to be in the Falcons starting line-up when the West Coast League (WCL) season opens in June. That said the Falcons and the WCL are monitoring the spread of COVID-19 and taking advice from the health care professionals.

Season tickets for the upcoming 20th anniversary season are available now by calling the Falcons headquarters at 250-763-4100.
