Welcome Alec

The Kelowna Falcons are proud to announce the signing of Alec Ritch of Middlebury College for the 2022 summer season.

To date, Ritch has started all 21 games for the Panthers this spring. He’s hitting .392 after 74 at bats and has collected 29 hits, six doubles, four triples, four homeruns and 23 RBIs. To add to the pop in his bat he has swiped a team high 22 bases and has scored 26 runs.

He is a junior at Middlebury College hailing from Kentfield, California. He can play both the outfield and can pitch if needed at 6’2. He’s appeared in six games on the mound this season and has a 2-0 record and a 4.85 ERA over 26 innings of work with 23 strikeouts. He’s thrown one complete game for the Panthers and has even collected a save.

Ritch becomes the first ever Falcon from Middlebury College. The Division III school is located in Middlebury Vermont and plays in the New England Small College Athletic Conference which features 11 schools.

The Falcons open the season on June 3rd when they host the Victoria Harbourcats and admission will be free.
