A Mountie In Kelowna

The Kelowna Falcons are proud to add a lefthanded freshman to the pitching staff as Trent Merrill will join the club this summer.
This spring he made 23 appearances for Mt. San Antonio College in California, working primarily out of the bullpen compiling a 4-0 record with a 2.90 ERA with a save. Over the course of his 40.1 innings, he struck out 25 batters while only allowing 13 earned runs.
His Mounties finished with a 32-8 record this spring in the 12-team South Coast Conference and he earned Second Team All-SCC honours. The club however lost in the first round the Conference playoffs, so Merrill’s next stop is Kelowna.
The Falcons are preparing for their home opener on June 3rd presented by Stutters with free admission when the Victoria Harbourcats come to town.
With players arriving at the end of the month the Falcons still have a few host family opportunities as well. Billets receive a grocery allowance, season tickets and an incredible experience helping shape a young student athlete on his path to the Major Leagues.
