Bulldogs Added

The Kelowna Falcons are proud to welcome a pair of Bulldogs from Bellevue College to the 2022 roster.

Sophomore infielder Troy Baunsgard (pictured) has been outstanding this spring and has his team hosting the Super Regionals this coming weekend. He’s compiled a .298 average with a team high 50 hits which includes 11 doubles, three triples, two homeruns and 30 RBIs with 16 multi-hit games. Once on base he has shown he can run with nine steals and scored 31 times. On the defensive side he was solid at short making 76 putouts along with 75 defensive assists.

Also joining Baunsgard is freshman infielder Kenji Suzuki who has seen limited action this spring due to a knee injury. He has been in the line-up recently and has collected four hits and recorded an average of .364 over the course of four games and has already been moved into the clean-up spot.

Both players are expected to be in Kelowna for the home opener on June 3rd presented by Stutters Restorations. Admission to this game will be FREE so make plans to come to Elks Stadium early before the first pitch at 6:35pm.

The team is still looking for a couple of billet families. This is your chance to make a difference in the life of a student athlete and give them a home during our 2022 campaign. Families will receive a grocery allowance, season tickets and an appreciate BBQ at the end of the season. Contact Alex Draper at 250-575-2400 or adraper29@shaw.ca to reserve a spot.
