Thomas Joins Falcons

The Kelowna Falcons are pleased to announce the addition of infielder Shea Thomas from Southeastern Louisiana University to the 2022 roster.

The first baseman has started 46 of the Lions’ 47 games as a junior. He’s hitting .278 this spring after 162 at bats collecting 45 hits, nine doubles, three homeruns and 29 RBIs. This is his first season at SE Louisiana.
In 2021 Thomas played for Edmonds College appearing in 32 games and earned All-Conference honours and was named the Snohomish County Collegiate Athlete of the Year. He hit .360 with a pair of homers and 21 RBIs for the College.

In high school he was a multi-sport athlete lettering in both baseball and basketball. He played power forward in basketball and was the team captain in his senior season. He can also play trumpet and was a peer tutor for students with special needs.

Thomas will join the Falcons once the University playoffs are completed. Their Conference championship tournament opens May 19th with a potential trip to the Regionals which would begin on June 3rd, the same day of the Falcons home opener.

With players arriving at the end of the month the Falcons still have a few host family opportunities as well. Billets receive a grocery allowance, season tickets and an incredible experience helping shape a young student athlete on his path to the Major Leagues.
