Kelowna Falcons

Series Honours

The Kelowna Falcons are proud to announce the Players of the Series presented by Wildfire Marketing, following the rain shorten series with the Ridgefield Raptors at Elks Stadium.

Player of the Series
Jacob Steels – Allan Hancock College, Santa Maria, CA

In a series in which base runners were hard to come by, Steels was one of the best hitters for the Falcons. He finished with three hits in the two-game series and put pressure on the opposition’s defence. When in the outfield, Steels was solid with seven putouts including a pair of flyballs that showed off his speed as he closed the gap and tracked them down.

Pitcher of the Series
Kieren Hall – University of Evansville, Perth, Australia

If you were at the game on Tuesday night you could hear the pop of the catcher’s mitt when Hall hit the mound. He was throwing laser beams which proved to be virtually untouchable. He threw 3.1 innings and struck out two, surrendering a pair of hits in his relief appearance.

Up next the Falcons are on Vancouver Island for a pair of three-game series with the Victoria Harbourcats and Nanaimo NightOwls. They will return to Elks Stadium on Friday June 17th to host the Kamloops NorthPaws which will feature a spectacular fireworks show following the game! Reserve your tickets online HERE.
