Two In A Row

The Kelowna Falcons hot hitting continued on Tuesday night, and they captured their second straight win in Nanaimo beating the NightOwls 8-3.

After the home side took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning off starter Sean Fekete the offence exploded. In the top half of the second inning the Falcons scored seven runs and blew the game open. Cody Ranit got the visitors on the scoreboard with a two-run single followed by an RBI hit by Jeriah Lewis. Three batters later CJ Richmond blasted a three-run homer, his second of the season to give the Falcons a commanding lead.

In the fourth inning Luke Solis collected his fifth RBI in two nights with a single to score Troy McCain, giving the Falcons their eighth run.

After that first inning Fekete settled in and was outstanding picking up his first win of the season. He threw seven innings in the victory, punching out an incredible 11 hitters and scattered four hits.
In total the offence recorded 11 more hits and now have 22 in the first two games of this series. Richmond had a massive night with two hits and four RBIs while Solis and Lewis each had a pair of knocks.

Wednesday night the Falcons (5-5) will wrap up the series with the NightOwls (5-8) before returning to Kelowna for Friday’s tilt with the Kamloops NorhtPaws with a spectacular fireworks show following the game. Reserve your tickets online HERE.
