Falcons Welcome Sox

The Kelowna Falcons open a three-game series with the Wenatchee Applesox on Tuesday night at Elks Stadium.

This is the second time in a week these two teams will meet after the Falcons won once in Wenatchee by an 11-7 score. The offence came alive that game with 16 hits led by Mike Montrezza and his three hits and three RBIs. Konnor Palmeira also knocked in three as did Jaden Sheppard. On the bump Derek Beairsto picked up the victory after striking out eight over the course of six innings.

Tonight, Beairsto gets the start again and the Falcons are hoping for a repeat performance.

The club is coming off back-to-back wins in Walla Walla part of Sunday’s doubleheader to end their six-game road swing. In the two games the Falcons outscored the Sweets 10-1.

Tonight’s game at Elks Stadium is Bark at the Park Night as fans can bring their dogs to enjoy the game as well. This is the first-time dogs have been allowed at the park and tickets can be purchased at the gate. The doors open at 5:30pm, with Beairsto’s first pitch at 6:35pm.
