Lefties Strike Back

What a difference a day makes. On Tuesday night the Kelowna Falcons scored 19 runs on 18 hits, but unfortunately Wednesday runs were difficult to score as they fell to the Port Angeles Lefties 6-1.

The only run they could muster was in the eighth inning to break the shutout. Konnor Palmeira (pictured) knocked in Jake Steels with a one-out sacrifice fly but it was far too little and too late. The offence tallied just four hits, two of them off the bat of Michael Montrezza.

The Lefties meanwhile scored six runs, however only two were earned. Sam Hasegawa made his first start of the summer and was hit with the loss after allowing those two earned runs over the course of three innings.

These two teams will battle again on Thursday night in the series rubber match at 6:35pm. The Falcons will then board the bus and head back to Kelowna to open a series with the Walla Walla Sweets on Friday night at Elks Stadium. Reserve your tickets online HERE.
