Palfrey Returns

The Kelowna Falcons have added two players from Columbia University to the 2023 roster, one of which makes his return this season.

Infielder Griffin Palfrey is back after hitting .286 last summer with four doubles and 14 runs driven in. He is coming off his sophomore season at Columbia this spring and is hitting at a .356 clip, collecting 62 hits, 13 doubles, seven homers and 44 RBIs. He has been one of the best and most consistent Lions this school season.

Infielder Kyle Corso also joins the Falcons this season hailing from Wayne, New Jersey. He’s a 6’3-205-pound sophomore but has seen limited action this spring with only 12 at bats. He has plenty of potential after being named to the New Jersey Baseball Coaches Association All-Star team in his senior year. He was the team captain and hit .383 with 20 RBIs and 20 runs scored.

Both players are expected to be ready for the season opener on June 2nd in Portland before the home opener on June 6th presented by Stutters Restoration.

The Falcons’ student athletes will start to arrive shortly, and the team is still searching for a few more billet families. When you host a Falcons student athlete you receive a grocery allowance, season tickets and an unforgettable experience. Don’t delay and help us come through in a clutch situation by hosting a player this summer. Call or text Alex Draper at 250-575-2400 to reserve your spot and make a difference in the life of a student athlete.
