Riverhawk Down

The Kelowna Falcons took down the Edmonton Riverhawks on Friday night at Elks Stadium, 3-1 in front of a terrific crowd.

Troy Shepard picked up the win after throwing five innings, allowing one run on four hits. He was able to keep the Riverhawks offence off balance collecting his third win of the campaign. Thrasher Steed handled the ninth inning needing only six pitches to record the save.

The Falcons offence did just enough to help Shepard claim the win. The bats had seven hits, two each from Garet Crenshaw and Trey Duffield, meanwhile Konner Palmeira drove in a pair of runs.

Saturday night the Falcons (19-15) host the Riverhawks (10-24) in game two of this weekend set. Righty Sam Hall (1-1) will get the ball and head to the bump for the Falcons. Tickets are available online HERE or fans can purchase them at the gate as of 5:30pm, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:35pm.
