Pickle Juiced

The Portland Pickles’ pitchers shut down the Falcons on Sunday night in the series finale and recorded a 6-0 victory.

They allowed just five hits over the course of the game, silencing the Falcons offence.  Of the five hits, Eddie Fines and Drew Stevens accounted for four of them.

The Pickles got to starter JJ Hollis in the first inning, striking for two runs, which would eventually be the game winners.  They tallied 10 hits, as two players combined for six of them en route to the series win.

The Falcons now head to Bellingham for a three-game series before returning on Friday to open a weekend series with the Port Angeles Lefties at Elks Stadium.  Fans can pre-purchase tickets online HERE for the weekend series.  There are only seven home games remaining for the Falcons this summer.
