Falcons Fall

The Falcons fell behind early on Saturday night and couldn’t find enough to complete the comeback and win, falling 13-6 to the Port Angeles Lefties at Elks Stadium.

The visiting Lefties scored a run in the first, four in third and added three more in the fourth to take the big lead.  The Falcons offence finally responded in the bottom of the fourth with a pair of runs. Caden Mitchell and Lucas Scott tallied back-to-back RBI doubles to get the Falcons on the board.

In the bottom of sixth the Falcons offence put up four runs and crept a little closer cutting the lead to two. Drew Stevens had the biggest hit of the inning, a two-run double and birthday boy Eddie Fines knocked him in two batters later.  Aidan Malish also brought home a run after getting hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.

Unfortunately for the hometown crowd, that’s as close as the Falcons would come.  The Lefties scored five more runs in the top of the eighth to win their second in a row.

The Falcons will try and salvage a game in this series on Sunday night in the seasonal series finale.  The first pitch is set for 6:05pm and fans can pre-purchase tickets HERE.  Join us at the ballpark and have a chance to qualify to win a pair of tickets to the Taylor Swift concert in Vancouver in December.  Details will be laid out at the game.
