Apple Sauced
The Falcons didn’t start their trip to Wenatchee on the right foot on Monday falling 11-3 to the Applesox.
The home side didn’t provide much hospitality scoring four runs in the bottom of the first inning off Falcons starter Kyle Scritzky on just one hit. Scritzky struggled with command offering up four walks and hit two batters in the inning. The Sox added two more in the second and one in the third putting the game out of reach.
Offensively the Falcons scored once in the seventh and had a pair in the eighth and outhit the Sox 9-8. Myles Walton (pictured), Trey Duffield and Sam Flores each had a pair of hits and Christian Salazar, Matthew Pena and Walton each drove in a run.
Tuesday night the Falcons will get another crack at the Applesox with lefty Gus McKay getting the start against Hunter Gibson.
Friday night the Falcons will return to Elks Stadium to begin a three-game series with the visiting Yakima Pippins. Tickets can be purchased in advance HERE.
