Bats Come Alive

Tuesday night the Falcons offence came alive under wet conditions in Edmonton pounding the Riverhawks 11-4 to snap the two-game losing streak.

Cameron Sewell led the Falcons hit parade with three knocks, including a double, tallied an RBI and a run scored. Returning Falcon Raphael Smeenk and Myles Walton collected two hits and two RBIs each and Trey Duffield blasted his first two-run homer of the season in the sixth to put an exclamation mark on the win.   West Coast League leading hitter Nate Gray Jr recorded another hit and had a pair of RBIs.

On the mound Gus McKay was masterful in his 4.1 innings of work striking out three and didn’t allow a run.  Carson Kimball came out of the bullpen to record the win fanning three over the course of 2.2 innings.

With the series tied the Falcons will look to finish off the Riverhawks on Wednesday in a rare 10:00am PST start.  Teagan Ribbink will get the start for the Falcons, and you can watch all the action HERE.

The Falcons return to Elks Stadium this coming Friday when they host the visiting Bellingham Bells.  Tickets for Friday’s game are available HERE.
