Falcons Host Sox

Tuesday the Falcons will open a three-game series at home when they welcome the frontrunning Wenatchee Applesox to Elks Stadium.
Tonight’s game will be a doubleheader to make-up for Monday’s rainout. The first game will begin at 5:30pm, with the second game to follow around 7:30pm.
The Falcons have struggled as of last, losing eight in a row and have fallen shorthanded with several injuries and players needing to return home to prepare for their upcoming school year.
This is the final full home series of the season for the Falcons as the schedule begins to wind down. Following the series with the Sox, the Falcons will play a home-and-home with the Kamloops NorthPaws this coming long weekend with one home game on Saturday night.
As for the Applesox, they have already clinched a playoff berth after winning the first half of the season atop the North Division. They continue to play well and have an 11-7 record here in the second half. That said, they have lost two straight coming to Kelowna falling at the Edmonton Riverhawks the last two nights. Offensively they have the best team batting average in the West Coast League hitting .288 and their pitching is in the middle of the pack with a 4.83 ERA.
