Offence Silenced

It was a tough night at the plate for the Falcons in Nanaimo, recording just two hits in a 5-1 setback on Monday.

The NightOwls would strike first in the bottom of the first inning on a rare double steal.  That lead didn’t last long as the Falcons tied it in their next at bat.  Trey Duffield knocked a one-out double, then advanced to third on a wild pitch.  Trevor Wilson brought him home on an RBI sacrifice-fly.

In the bottom of the third the NightOwls retook the lead for good off Falcons starter Zach Sutton.  He then added three more runs in the bottom of the fifth, putting the game out of reach.

Tuesday the Falcons will get another crack at the NightOwls in Nanaimo in game two of the three game series.   Righty Ben Schroeder will get the start for the Falcons while the NightOwls lefty Caden Pearlman.   Fans can watch the live stream HERE.
