Pippins In Town
Friday night the Falcons welcome the Yakima Pippins to town for the first time since 2022 to open a three-game Canada Day weekend series.
The Falcons are coming off a six-game road trip through Port Angeles and Wenatchee and picked up a couple of wins. They are hoping some home cookin’ can turn their fortunes against the Pippins who are coming off a marathon on Thursday night falling to the Portland Pickles in 12 innings. The loss included a series loss as well.
Coming into the weekend the Falcons find themselves 8.5 games back of Wenatchee for top spot in the North Division and the all-important first playoff spot. Meanwhile the Pippins are 12-12 and seven games behind the Corvallis Knights for first in the South Division.
Friday night begins four in a row at home for the Falcons and five home games in six days. Following the three-game series with the Pippins, the Falcons will host the Kamloops NorthPaws on Canada Day, then play in Kamloops on July 2nd, before hosting the NorthPaws again on July 3rd.
Righthander Carson Kimball (2-0) will get the start for the Falcons on Friday while the Pippins counter with righty Quentin O’Conner (0-1).
Also, on Friday it’s Ladies Night with glasses of wine at half price. Tickets can be purchased online HERE. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:35pm.
