Friday night the Falcons welcome the Yakima Pippins to town for the first time since 2022 to open a three-game Canada Day weekend series.

The Falcons are coming off a six-game road trip through Port Angeles and Wenatchee and picked up a couple of wins.   They are hoping some home cookin’ can turn their fortunes against the Pippins who are coming off a marathon on Thursday night falling to the Portland Pickles in 12 innings.   The loss included a series loss as well.

Coming into the weekend the Falcons find themselves 8.5 games back of Wenatchee for top spot in the North Division and the all-important first playoff spot.   Meanwhile the Pippins are 12-12 and seven games behind the Corvallis Knights for first in the South Division.

Friday night begins four in a row at home for the Falcons and five home games in six days.  Following the three-game series with the Pippins, the Falcons will host the Kamloops NorthPaws on Canada Day, then play in Kamloops on July 2^nd, before hosting the NorthPaws again on July 3^rd.

Righthander Carson Kimball (2-0) will get the start for the Falcons on Friday while the Pippins counter with righty Quentin O’Conner (0-1).
