The 2024 Kelowna Falcons summer season opens up on Friday night at Elks Stadium with the Nanaimo NightOwls in town for a weekend series. To get you back in the “swing of things,” admission to Friday night’s game is free courtesy of Stutters Restoration.

We encourage you to bring a non-perishable food item as our club is also collecting for our friends at the Central Okanagan Food Bank.

Our coaching staff returns for their third summer led by manager Doug Noce. His brother John along with Angelo Loomis and Cole Van Every will be back in the dugout as well assisting with the pitching staff, hitters and positional players.

Speaking of players, the roster is a highly competitive one featuring 47 players; 26 pitchers and 21 positional players. Not all will be in Kelowna for the opening weekend against the NightOwls as some players are still competing in their school seasons and some still have class until mid-June.

The roster features four players from Kelowna; pitcher Barrett Froehler, the nephew of General Manager Mark Nonis returns as does pitcher Teagan Ribbink after a wonderful season with the Okanagan College Coyotes. This will be his third summer with our club. Another Coyote Lyndon Sinclair joins the roster for the first time as does Ryan Degroot.

In all, there are 11 players returning to our team, there seven Canadians on the active roster, 18 players from Texas, 12 from California and two from the Netherlands.

There are plenty of opportunities to see our club early on as we open the campaign with six straight home games, hosting Nanaimo this weekend before the Victoria Harbourcats come to town for three games Monday – Wednesday.

Our club with play a 56-game schedule, 28 at home at Elks Stadium against some of the best the West Coast League has to offer. Not only will the NightOwls and Harbourcats visit Kelowna, but the Edmonton Riverhawks, Bellingham Bells, Yakima Pippins, Kamloops NorthPaws, Portland Pickles, Port Angeles Lefties and Wenatchee Applesox will come to town.
