Right handed pitching Cal Hehnke returns to Kelowna for his second summer.  Last year he was named to the West Coast League All-Star and finished with an 4-0 record in 11 appearances and fanned 52 batters.  He compiled an ERA of 3.16 through 54 innings.

This spring at school he leads his team with 43 strikeouts in 15 outings and has an ERA of 3.86.

Appeared in 11 games and made six appearances on the mound with one start…Went 1-0 over 13.0 innings pitched…Made his collegiate mound debut vs. Eastern Michigan (Feb. 21), throwing 2.2 innings of relief with two runs on four hits, no walks and a strikeout…Registered his first career hit vs. Saint Louis (Feb. 26)…Earned his first start at Air Force (March 8), tossing a career-long 6.0 innings and allowing three runs, four hits and a walk with a career-high three Ks…Named to the Summit League’s Academic Honor Roll.

Lettered three years for coach Rick Kissack at Grand Island High School…In his senior campaign, earned first-team Super State accolades from the Lincoln Journal Star…Helped his team to three straight top-three finishes at the Legion state tournament, including runner-up as a junior and third place as a sophomore and senior.
