Roady to Bellingham

The Falcons open a three-game series in Bellingham starting on Tuesday night against the Bells at Joe Martin Field.

With the season winding down these games are extremely important in the standings.  The Bells lead the Falcons by half a game in the North Division, but they are 2.5 back of a playoff spot.

These two teams met earlier in the year at Elks Stadium with the Bells earning a sweep, outscoring the Falcons 13-1 including two shutouts.   The Bells needed extra innings in the final game of the series and won 2-1.

The Falcons have a day off on Monday before heading to Bellingham. They are coming off a series loss over the weekend to the Portland Pickles who are fighting for top spot in the South Division.  The Bells meanwhile are also coming off a weekend series loss at home, falling to the suddenly hot Port Angeles Lefties.  The Bells offence went quiet on Sunday getting shutout 1-0 and recording only four hits.

Including this series with the Bells, the Falcons have 15 games remaining on the schedule and just seven at home. Following the series in Bellingham, the Falcons return to Elks Stadium this coming weekend for a six-game homestand.  The Lefties will be in town this weekend before the front running Wenatchee Applesox visit next week (Monday-Wednesday).  Fans can pre-purchase tickets for any Falcons home game HERE.
