Roster Grows Again

Three more positional players have been added to the 2025 roster with a month to go before opening day at Elks Stadium.

Zach Wieder is a Powder Springs Georgia native and a switch-hitting sophomore at Pellissippi State College in Knoxville, Tennessee. He’s had a nice spring hitting .373 with 62 hits and 47 RBIs, something the Falcons’ coaching staff hopes continues this summer.

Behind the plate Josue Garcia is finishing his freshman season at Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria, California. The left-handed stick has been outstanding at the plate hitting .419 this spring through the first 40 games. He has tallied 65 hits and 43 RBIs in 155 at bats.

Sophomore Jaden Mingus (pictured) is an infielder for Westmont College in Santa Barbara. He has not played yet this spring but in 2024 as a freshman he played in 36 games, hit .233 with two homeruns and four doubles while driving in 20 runs.

All three players are expected to be in Kelowna on May 30th for the home opener against the Victoria Harbourcats. Season tickets and individual game tickets are available now, call the Falcons headquarters today at 250-763-4100 or email admin@kelownafalcons.com.
