Sutton Starts Tuesday
The Falcons will host the Kamloops NorthPaws on Tuesday night at Elks Stadium to make up for the Canada Day tilt that was rained out.
It will be home sweet home for the Falcons after a lengthy nine-game road trip through Victoria, Nanaimo and Cowlitz. They won five of those games on the road, winning the series in both Victoria and Cowlitz. Coming into the game on Tuesday the Falcons share the lead in the North Division with a 5-4 record here in the second half.
They will meet the NorthPaws, a team they split the series with a couple of weeks ago, which included the rainout. The Falcons beat the NorthPaws 11-1 in Kamloops, before losing 11-8 at Elks Stadium the following night.
The NorthPaws are 4-5 in the second half of the season and 11-24 overall. They are coming off six in a row against the Port Angeles Lefties in which they only won twice.
Righty Zach Sutton, pictured (0-3), will get the start for the Falcons while the NorthPaws will send right hander Dylan Betancourt to the mound for the first time this summer.
Following this game, the West Coast League will hold the All-Star Game on Wednesday in Bellingham. The Falcons will be represented by Trey Duffield and Gavyn Jones on the North Division roster.
Then the Falcons prepare to host the Portland Pickles this weekend for a three-game series opening on Friday. Fans can purchase tickets in advance for any Falcons home game by clicking HERE.
