TROY
Our ballclub is pleased to welcome back lefthanded pitcher Troy Shepard for the 2024 summer season.
He appeared in 10 games, starting eight of them and finished 2-0 with a 2.97 ERA striking out 28 batters over the course of 42.1 innings last summer. Our club won six of the 10 games Shepard threw in during the campaign.
His two wins came on the road in Port Angeles, and he beat the eventual league champion Corvallis Knights on July 5th when he threw six wonderful innings striking out four.
He’ll be a junior this season and will continue to build his craft throwing a two and four-seam fastball, a change-up, curveball and slider. In school he is majoring in kinesiology with aspirations to become a physical therapist once his playing days are over.
Our 2024 home opener is set for Friday May 31st when the Nanaimo NightOwls come to town.
