Two Texans Sign

The Falcons welcome back a familiar face this season as catcher Caden Mitchell returns for his second summer in Kelowna.

Coming off his sophomore season at Weatherford College in Texas, Mitchell (pictured) is hitting .383 for the Coyotes this spring through 20 games collecting 15 hits and 18 RBIs. This production should give him the confidence he needs returning to the Falcons and transitioning to the wood bat. Last summer, in 33 games he hit .208 recording 20 hits and 15 RBIs while defensively he was outstanding behind the plate and carried the load.

He will no doubt be asked to do even more this coming summer after a solid spring at Weatherford.

As he comes back to Kelowna, he brings college teammate Uriah Walters along with him as well. Walters is a 6’3, 200-pound sophomore infielder from Prosper Texas and his currently hitting .263 after 137 plate appearances tallying 36 his and 30 RBIs this spring.

Both players will be looked upon for significant offensive production numbers on a regular basis during the 2025 summer season.
