Weekend Sweep

The Falcons recorded a weekend sweep of the Kamloops NorthPaws on Sunday after a 7-4 victory in Kamloops.

It would be the NorthPaws scoring first, getting to starter Nick Woodcock in the bottom of the first inning scoring twice.  The Falcons then put together a four-run third inning and took the lead.

The score remained 4-2 until the seventh when the Falcons added a single run which would turn out to be the game winner. The NorthPaws answered with two in the bottom of inning to pull within one but that’s as close as they would come.

In the ninth the Falcons tacked on two more for some insurance.

They would record 11 hits in the ballgame led Max Trembly who tallied two hits and had three RBIs.  Lucas Scott, Matthew Pena and Aidan Malish (pictured) also had two hits apiece.

On the mound Luca Noce recorded his first West Coast League win and Ethan Rattie picked up the save.

The Falcons have Monday off before heading to Portland for a series with the Pickles to conclude the 2024 summer season.  Zach Sutton is the scheduled starter on Tuesday.
