All-Star Church

The West Coast League (WCL) has announced their rosters for the 2014 All-Star Game in Klamath Falls Oregon and Scotland Church will be part of the festivities.

Church will be only Falcons representative at the game on Monday July 21st.    He is currently hitting .280 and is the only player with over 100 at bats (107).   He leads the club with 30 hits is tied for the team lead with five doubles (Kevin Biro) and is second with 10 RBIs.

Church represents the North team, made up of players from Wenatchee, Yakima, Victoria, Walla Walla and Bellingham.  The North is managed Ed Knaggs, the Head Coach of the Wenatchee Applesox.

The South team is comprised of players from Kitsap, Cowlitz, Corvallis, Bend, Medford and host Klamath Falls.  They will be managed by Mitch Karraker, the Head Coach of the host Gems.

The WCL All-Star Game Homerun Derby is scheduled for Monday July 21 at 5:10pm.  In 2008, Falcons’ outfielder Nick Fretias won the Derby and is the only Falcon to do so.

The All-Star Game is scheduled for 6:35pm at Kiger Stadium in Klamath Falls.
