Kelowna Falcons

Leathernecks Added

The Kelowna Falcons are pleased to announce a pair of players from Western Illinois University have joined the roster. Junior Christian McKelvey and freshman outfielder Charles (CJ) Richmond will be part of the team when our season opens on June 3rd.

McKelvey is a utility infielder who will give the Falcons coaching staff plenty of options this summer as players get used to playing every day. He is a veteran player that knows how to get on base.

Richmond is a lefthanded stick who has a pair of homers this spring with six RBIs as a freshman. He has played in 26 games this season for the “Fighting Leathernecks” and will be a key player for the Falcons this summer.

The Falcons finally return to play on Friday June 3rd when the Victoria Harbourcats come to town. Admission for the home opener will be free that night.

With players starting to arrive at the end of this month, the Falcons are still looking for a few good host/billet families. This will be an experience of a lifetime hosting a student athlete. All host families receive a grocery allowance and season tickets. Contact Alex Draper for more information today 250-575-2400.
