Falcons Drop Game 1

After a lengthy rain delay on Friday night the Falcons opened their first six-game road trip with a 10-3 loss in Victoria against the Harbourcats.

The ‘Cats would get to starter Cole Van Every early scoring eight runs in the first three innings and set the pace for the rest of the game. They would chase Van Every after four innings giving up all eight runs and nine hits led by Grady Morgan and Luke Cheng who each collected three hits in the ball game. A total of four players collected multi-RBI games for the Harboucats on Friday night.

Offensively the Falcons collected just five hits with Jaden Parsons recording a one-out, two-run single in the top half of the seventh inning. The only other run scored on a bases loaded double play off the bat of Jeriah Lewis scoring Jacob Steels.

Game two of the series goes tomorrow (Saturday) night in Victoria, Nick Woodcock gets the start for the Falcons.
