Kelowna Falcons

Bells Sneak Win

Wednesday night was the quickest game of the season so far for the Kelowna Falcons; however, it came with a 3-1 loss in Bellingham to the first place Bells (10-1).

Starting pitcher Sam Hall had one bad inning, giving up all three runs in the second and was hit with the loss. He threw four innings in total and struck out three. Koen Vant Klooser came out of the bullpen for the final four innings and was outstanding fanning three and giving up just one hit.

The Falcons (6-5) lone run came in the top of the third. Trevor Wilson tallied a one-out single and was eventually moved over to third base. Jonas Salk came up with a two-out hit to score Wilson, but that’s the only run the Falcons could score off the league’s top pitching staff.

The offence outhit the Bells 8-5 with JP Smith the lone Falcon to record two hits in the game.

Thursday night these two will wrap up the series in Bellingham with the Falcons looking to salvage one game. They meet again at Elks Stadium starting on Tuesday. Nolan Patterson is the expected starter on Thursday for the Falcons.
