Kelowna Falcons

Pickled

The Kelowna Falcons three-game win streak ended abruptly on Friday night losing to the Portland Pickles 15-3 in front of a great crowd at Elks Stadium.

The Pickles jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first half inning and never looked back.

The Falcons scored in the bottom of the third inning on an RBI double from Gavin Napier who just arrived in Kelowna before this game. They were then held off the scoresheet until the bottom of the ninth when they scored a pair of runs but it was too little, too late.

Offensively the Falcons collected seven hits with two of them coming from Abe Affholter.

The Falcons and Pickles will meet again on Saturday night in game 2 of the series. Don’t forget fans, during Sunday’s series finale, it’s Minor Ball Night. Any minor ball player wearing their minor ball jersey will get a free ticket.

Speaking of tickets, they are available now online HERE.
